Notes
- Tord Reklev won the final tournament of the 2016-17 season: North America Intercontinentals, the largest Pokemon TCG tournament of all time. He followed up that record performance with a Top 8 here at Liverpool, playing the same deck (Drampa-GX/Garbodor).
- Tournament winner Rick Verwaal had been largely inactive in the TCG until his win at this event, playing mostly in minor events since his last big showing: a Top 8 at the 2013 World Championships, where he played a Team Plasma deck. He did finish 26th at the 2016 Liverpool Regionals with M Gardevoir STS.
- This was the last-ever Regional in the PRC-GRI format, and the only Regional of the 2017-18 season to be played in that format.
- Alolan Ninetales-GX had previously been something of a fringe deck, never appearing more than once in any Regional Day 2 until this one. All three that made it into this Day 2 advanced to Top 8.
- Ryan Moorhouse's 4th-place Drampa-GX/Garbodor deck played a tech Zygarde-EX rather than a third Drampa-GX, as a tech for the mirror.
